On September 19, on the day of remembrance of the miracle of the Archangel Michael in Khoneh, the head of the North-Western Vicariate, Archbishop Savva of Zelenograd, celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Church of the Blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky (parish of the Archangel Michael in Kurkino). At the end of the Liturgy, the bishop performed the rite of consecration of the foundation stone for the foundation of the future church of the Archangel Michael of God.

Good work. Saint Michael always protects, especially in places like Kourkino where families are raised. I saw that it happened exactly on the day of the miracle at Choni – this is no coincidence.

That's a great day to lay the stone—right on the feast of the miracle at Chonae. Archbishop Savva's been steady with these projects out in the northwest, and it's good to see another church going up where families are actually raising kids. Hope they get the walls up before the real cold hits.
