The Archdiocese of Arad prepared over 300 schoolbags for children from vulnerable familiestranslated
The Archdiocese of Arad has prepared over 300 schoolbags equipped with supplies for children from vulnerable families, through the "A schoolbag for a smile" campaign.
The campaign is organized by the Social-Philanthropic Sector of the Archdiocese of Arad, together with the "Holy Trinity" Archbishop's Cathedral in Arad. The initial objective was to prepare 100 backpacks, but with the support of believers and good people, their number reached 320.
His Holiness Father Timotei, the Archbishop of Arad, thanked those who supported the campaign, as well as the parents and teachers involved in the education of the children. The hierarch wished the students a good and successful new school year.
The beneficiaries were identified following the consultation of the deaneries and parishes within the diocese, and the schoolbags will be distributed to children from several communities. The Arad Gendarmerie will also participate in the distribution action.
