On August 30, a tourist group from Moscow visited the Resurrection Cathedral in the city of Vichug. A tour of the territory of the church and the cathedral was conducted by the cathedral cleric, Deacon Sergiy Bezzubov, who spoke about the history of the construction of the cathedral, its architectural features and interior decoration. Particular attention was paid to the unique majolica panels made by the masters of the Abramtsevo plant, as well as the tragic history of the construction of the church, erected in memory of the untimely deceased daughter of the merchant Ivan Kokorev. After getting acquainted with the history and shrines of the cathedral, Father Sergius addressed tourists with a missionary speech, in which he touched on issues of faith, spiritual transformation of man and the significance of the church as a meeting place for people with God, and also spoke about modern parish life and the revival of the church after the Soviet period of closure.
