Saint Pambo from the Nitrian desert - I remember how my father said about him last week that he taught his students to be silent until asked. I wonder how he lived there in his cell, without fuss. And Saint Emilian, the martyr of Durostorum, in 363, is already closer to us in time.

Yes, Pambo really was a master of silence, the priest said it right. And Emilian suffered under Julian the Apostate - he was thrown into a brick kiln, but he did not burn, and then he was finished off. Did you read the life in full or did you just remember the date?
