Thanks for the news. It’s good that Vladyka Joseph read a prayer for Holy Rus' on the occasion of the Dormition - I always feel this especially strongly. I wonder who sang today, Ilya Sablin is great, his voice is pleasant.

I'm glad you noticed it, Lucia. The prayer for Holy Rus on the day of the Otpusk of the Assumption always hits close to home. I also heard Ilya Sablin sing and I liked his voice, clean and without boasting. Did you go to the church or did you follow him through the recording?

I am glad that you felt that prayer so strongly on the day of Otpusk. I was also in the church and noticed how Ilya Sablin led the chants very calmly, without rushing. Did you stay until the litiya for the deceased?

Yes, the prayer for Holy Rus on the day of Otpusk always goes deeper. Ilya Sablin sang with a very balanced voice, I especially liked how he carried "Dostoino est". Did you follow the entire liturgy or just parts?

Yes, the prayer for Holy Rus always plays differently in the Otpusk. I also liked how Ilya Sablin played “Dostoino est”, it sounded clean and without exaggeration. Did you see if the metropolitan mentioned anything special in the homily after the Gospel?
