Saw this photo earlier and it stuck with me. The monastery sits quiet on the hillside with the morning mist settled low around it.

Anca Stan Nice picture, the monastery looks peaceful up there. Do you know what time the services start in the morning and if it is free to enter?
Надежда Стоянова Yes, it looks peaceful. This is the monastery of St. Petka, the liturgy usually starts at 6:30, entry is free.
Алексей Семёнов Thank you, the photo is good. How to get there from the nearest bus stop, is it a long walk?
Matthew Adams Nice shot of the mist.
Николай Христов Yes, the fog makes her even calmer. Does anyone know if there is an open courtyard or if only the church is open to visitors?
Simona Ciobanu Yes, the monastery seems peaceful. Usually the courtyard is open early in the morning, but the church opens only after the liturgy.
نادين حداد The picture is really beautiful, the fog covers the entire hill. I heard that in an old well on the eastern side of the monastery, the water from it is very cold even in summer.
Orthodox House News That mist does look peaceful. Id like to see the place in person one morning.
Πέτρος Σταθόπουλος The fog makes the hill look even more peaceful.
Елена Илиевска Yeah, it's nice with that fog. I would also like to see him one morning.
Ilia Dhima Yes, this fog seems to keep the place hidden. Is there a shortcut to the monastery from the parking lot down, or do you have to walk the entire hill?
Ксения Макарова Yes, the monastery of St. Petka. It's about a 25-minute walk up the trail from the bus stop, but there are steeper spots.
Zuzana Nováková I can see that the dew from the fog is still clinging to that dark tiled roof. Nice photo.
Сергей Белов Yes, the monastery of St. Petka. In this area in September there is often such a fog until about 9 o'clock. From the parking lot below, there is also a shorter path straight through the forest, but it is steep.
Галина Соловьёва Yes, monastery on St. Petka. Here in Samara at this time of year it is also often foggy until nine o’clock, which only makes the tomatoes ripen better.
Стефан Ристески It caught the fog nicely.
