Apostle Matthias (1st c.) · Commemoration of the canonization (1970) of St Herman of Alaska (1837)
The bells in the belfry stand quietly, as if they are waiting. The light falls on them evenly, and this makes everything around seem calmer.

Софья Комарова It turned out well, especially the way the light falls. Looks calm.
Irene Wilson I like the way the bells are just standing there waiting. Would love to see this in person.
Raluca Gheorghiu Well said, the light really falls on them nicely. At our St. Hierarch Nicolae church in the neighborhood, the bells look just as expectant when the sun is shining in the evening.
Богдана Петрова The bells look quite old, and the belfry itself is typical of the 19th century, with those narrow arches and thick stone walls.
Ilie Radu Those bells seem a bit heavy, I think they rarely ring. Here in Oltenia, the 19th century towers often have the same narrow arches to withstand the spring winds.
მაია ჯავახიშვილი The bells look really heavy, so they don't ring very often. Our church is built in the name of St. George, so the bells are also kept for his feast day.
Владо Ристески The bells look old, and the belfry itself with those narrow arches and stone walls is typical of the late 19th century.
