☦ Humor – Bukovina, Romania The Humora Monastery is located in Menestira Humorului, approximately 5 km north of the town of Gura Humorului, Romania. This is a monastery for nuns dedicated to the Dormition of the Virgin Mary or Mother of God. It was built in 1530 by voivode Petru Rares and his chancellor Theodor Bubuyogi. The monastery was built on the foundations of a previous monastery built around 1415. Photo: România de vis · CC BY-SA 3.0 ro

ვახტანგ ჯავახიშვილი It has a cool architecture, the murals on the walls will look good.
Михаил Петров The brickwork on the walls is uneven, but strong, you can immediately see that it has been standing for five centuries. The frescoes on the façade really stand out, especially the higher ones.
George Smith The brickwork really stands out on the lower walls, those uneven rows look like they were laid by hand without much fuss. The roof seems pretty steep too, probably sheds snow easy in winter.
Anthony Collins The frescoes on the upper walls have held their colors surprisingly well after all these centuries. The way the bricks are laid in those uneven courses makes the whole structure look even more solid.
نادين حداد The exterior walls are full of small details in the brick, and it is clear that the hand that built them was not in a hurry. Even after five years, it is still standing intact without needing major restoration.
Jana Nováková Those bricks at the bottom look really hand-laid, uneven but solid. The frescoes above hold their colors better than one would expect after five centuries.
Sarah Campbell The uneven brick courses on the lower walls look properly solid even from the photo. Those upper frescoes have kept their detail better than I expected after 500 years.
Νίκη Χατζή Brick walls have those little corners that don't line up at all, but look like they're holding strong. The roof is steeper than I expected, probably to keep water from collecting.
Γιώργος Μακρής I would like to see it in person one day. The bricks look like they were built with no care for perfection, but they hold strong.
Марія Панченко The monastery is dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin, so there are definitely scenes from her life on the frescoes. The brick below is so uneven that it seems as if it was simply laid by hand, without a level, but it holds up to this day.
Andrés López The masonry below looks so jagged that you wonder how it didn't collapse sooner, but it's still there after five hundred years. The frescoes above are still clearly visible.
