The Romanian Orthodox Church has organized a medical caravan that brings doctors, nurses, and basic supplies straight to remote villages in the Suceava region. Local clergy coordinate with the teams so that patients can receive check-ups, medicine, and simple treatments without traveling long distances. At the same time, the Romanian Church marked the memory of the Persian martyrs Acindynus, Pegasias, Aphthonius, Elpidephorus, and Anempodistus, reminding believers that steadfast faith often shows itself in quiet service to neighbors. In Bulgaria, the Patriarchal Divine Liturgy for the fifth Sunday after the Exaltation of the Cross drew faithful to the cathedral in Sofia, while the Serbian Church celebrated the feast of Saint Luke and Saint Peter of Cetinje with a solemn vigil at Cetinje Monastery. These varied observances across jurisdictions show how each local Church finds its own balance between worship and practical care. How does your parish support medical or social needs in its own area?

Inside the church, the light passes through the stained glass and falls softly on the walls. Calm and bright place.

Who is the priest there now? Is the church open to visitors on Saturday or only Sunday before liturgy?

Where exactly is this church, if you can tell? And when did you photograph it?

I wish I could see her live someday. Where exactly is it located?
In Ilfov county the Romanian Orthodox Church consecrated a new chapel dedicated to the theme of love as the path to salvation. The small brick building stands beside a quiet road lined with walnut trees, its frescoes still fresh and its wooden iconostasis carved by local hands. At the same time the Ukrainian Orthodox Church blessed a lower church in the Dnipropetrovsk diocese honoring the righteous Joachim and Anna, while the Serbian Orthodox Church marked the feast of the Holy Apostle Luke with solemn liturgy inside the historic Cetinje monastery. Across the Bulgarian Orthodox Church in London, faithful gathered for matins and the Divine Liturgy at the parish of St John of Rila. Each gathering drew people who simply came to pray, light a candle, and listen to the same Gospel words read in different languages. The quiet repetition of these rites across borders shows how ordinary parishes keep handing on the same faith year after year.

The church with its blue walls and golden domes looks beautiful under that bright sky. I took the photo last week when the weather was so nice.

Those golden domes look good.

The domes are indeed golden, clearly visible. And the walls are so smooth blue, I wonder what paint they used.

The domes look really good on the blue. Where exactly did you record this last week?
C
Constantin Tudor
Yes, the domes come out well in the picture, but I was drawn to that light on the blue wall on the right, like it was freshly painted.
Yesterday in the evening, I prepared the children for Sunday school. The younger one asked why Jesus holds a book on the icon, and the older girl questioned whether they could bring their ball after the lesson. This morning, all three were already standing by the door with their backpacks, waiting for me to finish cleaning the kitchen.

The path through the fields leads straight to the church, and the last light falls on the domes. It becomes quiet, and somehow more peaceful just by seeing it.

That path looks very slippery after the rain, a person would slip even without boots.

It's a pity that there is such mud on the road after the rain, because it would be nice to go to church.

Still, those copulas are cool because they have an iron roof on top, not zinc. You can't walk there with normal shoes after it rains.

Yeah the brickwork does look old. When and where did you take this shot?
The old prayer book lies in the soft light of the candle. Quiet and peaceful, as if time has stopped.

The photo clearly shows that the book is opened to the 50th Psalm. The church is named after St. John the Chrysostom and the evening service there starts at six o'clock on Saturday.

In that photo, you can see that the brick in the background has typical uneven joints from the second half of the 19th century, as was the case with many chapels in Yaroslavl.

In the photo you can really see that the page is open exactly on the 50th Psalm, and the cover is cracked along the edge. Where exactly was it filmed and when?

In the photo, I also have brickwork with uneven seams, it can be seen that the bricks are from the end of the 19th century, rough and uneven. Where exactly is this church?
The sun's rays break through the clouds directly above the cathedral. The light is so calm that you immediately think about the silence inside.

The photo is nice, especially how you can see the bricks on the corners. When are there services there and is it open to visitors during the week?
M
Maria Ionescu
You can clearly see how the light enters exactly on the edge of the arch on the left. Please let me know what time the services start on Sunday and if it is possible to enter at any time during the week.

Yes, the bricks on the corners are seen most clearly in the light. When exactly do the liturgies start on Sunday?
H

The brickwork on those left arches really stands out in the sun. What time does the Sunday liturgy start there?
