Theotokos: Virgin, Who gave birth to the Most Just Judge and [at the same time] One easily Forgiving Lord Christ, deliver me from condemnation, fire and punishment, to which the taste of sin has led me!

O Thy compassion! For Thou hast endured the Cross, the nail and the spear, O Lord, for the sake of him who was condemned to decay: therefore I sing to Thee, O Christ.

O Thy goodness, Christ! After all, for the sake of the condemned me, You endured the Cross, the spear and the nails! Therefore I praise You forever.

Glory: Trinity: Trinitarian Unit, Unique Trinity. O Lord, Equally Glorious Nature, Father, Son and Divine Soul, save us all.

Trinity Three-Hypostatic Unity and One and Only Trinity, Equally Glorious, Dominant and Ruling Nature* - Father and Son and Holy Spirit - save us all!

* The literal expression - “The Lord's original (or Lord's) nature” - is very difficult to comprehend. We give our understanding.

And now: Theotokos: Rejoice, purifier of the world, Mother of God, in which all sinners have taken refuge, we always find reconciliation to God.

Theotokos. Rejoice, O propitiation for the world, Mother of God! We sinners all resort to You and always find reconciliation with God.

Καὶ νῦν…

* * *

Glory to Thee, our God, glory to Thee.

By Your cross, Lord, and having strengthened me, fasting and granting me the good grace to end my treatment with grace.

Glory to Thee, our God, glory to Thee!

And through Your Cross, give me strength, Lord, and strength for the good conduct of the period of Lent!

Irmos: Pure and Most Pure, Mother and Virgin, with songs of songs of all faiths, piously we magnify the Mother of God.

Irmos. Mother and Virgin, Pure and Immaculate, like the Mother of God, we exalt all the faithful in song with song.

On the verse of the stichera, wash the voice:

Stichera on verse, tone 8

Come, let us enslave the thoughts of passion by fasting, having covered our wings with spiritual ones: let the enemy’s moving storm, having passed easily, let us be worthy of the veneration of the cross, for the peace of the slain by the will of the Son of God, and spiritually celebrate the Resurrection of the Savior from the dead, having ascended to the mountain, together with the disciples we will glorify the power of the Son who received all from the Father, the Lover of Mankind. (twice)

Come, let us subdue mental passions with the help of fasting, covering ourselves with spiritual wings, so that we can easily overcome the storm raised by the Enemy, be honored with the worship of the Cross by the will of our own for the world of the Savior and Son of God slain for the world, spiritually celebrate His Resurrection from the dead, being taken to the mountain, glorify with the disciples from the Father who accepted all power [over the world] - the Lover of Mankind Son. (Twice)

Verse: In the morning we were filled with Thy mercy, O Lord, and we rejoiced and rejoiced, all our days we rejoiced, for the days in this day you humbled us, in the summer in this day we saw evil. And look upon Thy servants, and Thy works, and instruct their sons.

Fasting with thoughts of passion...

Verse: Early in the morning we were filled with Your mercy, O Lord, and we rejoiced and were glad. All our days we have rejoiced: for the days in which You humbled us, for the years in which we saw evil. And look upon Thy servants and Thy works, and show the way to their sons. (Ps. 89:14–16)

And we repeat the same stichera. Come, mental passions...

Glory, even now: The Holy Cross: What is the visible vision that I can see even in my hair, O Master? support all creation, you were ascended to the tree, and put to death, granting life to everyone, Mother of God in the lamenting words, ever seen on the Cross, All-Pure, from Ney who ineffably arose God and Man.

Glory... and now... Holy Cross. “What do I see, what do my eyes look at, O Lord? You, who contain all creation, are hanged on the Tree! You are killed, the Giver of life to everything!” - this is what the All-Pure Mother of God said with tears, seeing on the Cross the One who inexpressibly shone from Her as God and Man.
