Lord Almighty, God of hosts and all flesh, who lives in the highest and looks down on the humble, who searches the hearts and wombs and the innermost parts of men, Who is the forerunner, the Beginningless and the Everlasting Light, with Him there is no change, or change, overshadowing; Himself, Immortal King, accept our prayers, even at this time, for the multitude of Your generosity boldly, from the wicked we create to You, and forgive us our sins, whether we have sinned in deed, in word, in thought, in knowledge, or in ignorance; and cleanse us from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit. And grant us with a cheerful heart and sober thoughts to pass through the whole night of this present life, awaiting the coming of the bright and revealed day of Your Only Begotten Son, Lord and God and Savior our Jesus Christ, the Judge of all will come with glory, to give to each according to his deeds; let us not fall and become lazy, but be watchful and raised up to do what is to come, prepare for joy and the Divine palace of His glory below, where those who celebrate the unceasing and ineffable voice The sweetness of those who see Your face is inexpressible kindness. For You are the true Light, you enlighten and sanctify all things, and all creation sings to You forever and ever. Amen.
Lord Almighty, God of the disembodied Powers and all flesh, living on the heights of heaven and looking down upon the valleys of the earth, testing the hearts and inner feelings and secrets of people, knowing clearly, the beginningless and eternal Light, Who has no change and not a shadow of change! Yourself, immortal King, accept our prayers, which we, boldly hoping for the multitude of Your mercies, presently bring to You from evil lips, and forgive us our sins, in deed, word, and thought, committed by us consciously and out of ignorance, and cleanse us from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, [making us temples of Your Holy Spirit]. And grant us with a watchful heart and a sober mind to go through the whole night of our present life, waiting for the coming of the bright day of the appearance of Your Only Begotten Son, our Lord and God and Savior Jesus Christ, when He, the Judge of all, will come to earth with glory to reward everyone according to their deeds; May He find us not fallen and lazy, but awake and risen, fulfilling His commandments, and ready to enter with Him into the joy and divine chamber of His glory, where those who celebrate the unceasing voice and inexpressible pleasure contemplate the indescribable beauty of Your face. For You are the true Light, enlightening and sanctifying everything, and all creation sings to You forever and ever. Amen.
