Unmercenaries and Wonderworkers Cosmas and Damian · St Theodota, Mother of Cosmas and Damian

Кафолическое Послание св. Апостола Иуды

Machine translation from the original · Show original
1) Judas, the servant of Jesus Christ, the brother of James, beloved in God the Father and kept by Christ Jesus, and called: 2) may mercy and peace and love be multiplied to you. 3) Beloved! Having made every effort to write to you about your common salvation, I considered it necessary to write to you, begging you most of all to strive for the faith once delivered to the saints. 4) For certain people have crept in, destined from ancient times for this condemnation, the wicked, turning the grace of our God into lust and rejecting our only Master and Lord Jesus Christ. 5) I want to remind you, having once known everything, that Jesus, having delivered the people from the land of Egypt, then destroyed those who did not believe; 6) But the angels who did not retain their leadership, but left their home, are reserved for the judgment of the great day in eternal bonds, under darkness. 7) Just as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the surrounding cities, like them, committed fornication and went after other flesh, were set up as an example, being subjected to the punishment of eternal fire - 8) in the same way, these too defile the flesh, reject dominion, and blaspheme the majesty. 9) When Michael the Archangel, arguing with the devil, argued about the body of Moses, he did not dare to pronounce a blasphemous judgment, but said: “The Lord command you.” 10) These slander what, moreover, they do not know; Whatever they know by nature, like dumb animals, they are corrupted. 11) Woe to them, because they follow the way of Cain, and indulge in the deception of Balaam, take bribes, and perish in the bickering of Korah! 12) They are abominable at their meals; feasting without fear, they feed themselves. Waterless clouds carried by the wind; autumn trees, barren, twice dead, uprooted; 13) fierce sea waves, foaming with their turmoil; wandering stars, for whom the storm of darkness is reserved forever. 14) Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these also, saying: “Behold, the Lord comes with thousands of His saints - 15) to execute judgment against all and to convict all the wicked of all the deeds of their wickedness that they have wickedly committed, and of all the evil things that ungodly sinners have brought against God.” 16) These are grumblers, murmuring, walking according to their desires; and their lips utter great things; they surprise persons regarding self-interest. 17) You, beloved, remember the words predicted by the Apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ, 18) who told you that in the last time scoffers will appear, walking according to their own desires (2 Peter 3:3), in wickedness. 19) These are self-separating, spiritual, not having the Spirit. 20) But you, beloved, build yourselves up in your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, 21) keep yourselves in the love of God, awaiting the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. 22) And reprove some as judged, 23) and save others, pulling them out of the fire. Pardon others with fear, hating even carnally defiled clothing. 24) To Him who is able to keep you without sin and to present you blameless before the presence of His glory with the joy of the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, 25) To the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, before every age, and now, and to all the ages of ages. Amen.
