In the same way, it is fitting that we, as the Son and Word of God, were incarnate and became man, and suffered much torment, and were crucified, and with the outpouring of His Most Holy Blood redeemed man from the hands of the devil, from then, by excess, he became the Lord and ruler of human nature. Before, even before the incarnation, the Lord was of all creatures, visible and invisible, as the Creator, and Creator, and Provider of them; Moreover, demons and many people do not want to have this Lord and Ruler for themselves, who is their Lord, who is the Lord of the whole world. Moreover, the All-Good God, because He created both Angels and man to be autocratic, and to give them the gift of literature, so that they may have reason and reasoning, as He is righteous and true, without wanting to take away autocratic power from them and to rule over them through need and without desire. Those who are from Christians according to the number of graces they have received, and because of the number of blessings they have received from the Lord Christ, have been deceived again by the devil, and through the world and the flesh have escaped from God, and are ruled from sin and from the devil, doing his will, but they are not completely insensible, since they do not feel evil, suffered, or suffer, but understand their sin, and recognize the work they have, but cannot get rid of themselves, and for this sake they flow to God, and call: Lord, have mercy, for may the most merciful Lord have mercy on them, and may He have mercy on them, may He accept them, like the prodigal son, and give them His Divine grace again, and with that may they be delivered from the work of sin, and may they be removed from demons, and may they again receive their freedom, so that in this way they will be able to live in a manner pleasing to God and keep the commandments of God: these Christians, who, like God, call this with such intention: Lord, have mercy, they will receive the great mercy of the all-good God, and will receive his grace, so that they can be freed from the work of sin and to be saved. And those who do not have any reason and knowledge of this, even if they do, they know their misfortune, as they are enslaved to the wills of the flesh and worldly things, they have the freedom to think about the work that they are supported by, but besides the blue intention they call exactly this: Lord have mercy, much more from custom; How can you powerfully receive God’s mercy, and especially such wonderful and immeasurable mercy? Since it is much better not to accept God’s mercy than to accept it and then destroy it; There is already a sin of such people. And again: if someone gave a certain stone of great value in the hand of some small child, or some simple person who does not know how much it is valued, and they, taking it into their own hands, destroyed it; It is true that it was not they who destroyed it, but rather the one who gave it to them to eat. And if you understand the better word, think that in this world he, who is poor and poor, and wants to accept alms from someone rich, goes and says to him: have mercy on me, that is, have mercy on me for my poverty, and give me food and again: he, who has a debt, wants to be given a debt. Having given him credit, he goes to him and says: have mercy on me, that is, have mercy on me for my poverty, and grant me the debt that I owe. Likewise, the sinner, who wants to be forgiven for having sinned, goes to him and says: have mercy on you, that is, forgive me for the sin I have committed. The sinner calls to God this: Lord have mercy, and he does not know what he says below, below what he says for the sake of it, below the news that there is the mercy of God, he asks God, may he give it to him, below what the mercy benefits him, even he seeks it; but from custom he simply calls: Lord have mercy, otherwise I don’t know anything. And how can God give him his mercy, if he, not knowing it, despises it, and again soon destroys it, and sins a lot? There is no other mercy of God except the grace of the All-Holy Spirit, which we sinners must seek from God, crying unceasingly: Lord have mercy, that is, my Lord have mercy on me, a sinner in a poor dispensation, in which I am found, and accept me again into your grace. Give me the spirit of strength, so that it will strengthen me to resist the temptations of the devil and the evil, sinful custom. Give me the spirit of chastity, so that I may become chaste, and come to my senses, and correct myself. Give me the spirit of fear, that I may fear You and keep Your commandments. Give me the spirit of love, so that I love you, and let no one separate from You. Give me the spirit of peace, may it keep my soul peaceful, and may I collect all my thoughts, and may I be quiet and not embarrassed. Give me the spirit of purity, may it keep me clean from all filth. Give me the spirit of meekness, may I be meek towards my Christian brothers, and may I refrain from rage. Give me the spirit of humility, so that I don’t dream high and don’t be proud. Moreover, he, who knows that he needs all these, seeks them from the most merciful God, calling: Lord have mercy; this one will most certainly receive what he seeks, and will receive mercy from the Lord and His Divine grace. And those who do not know anything from these people, even though they are dead, but from custom simply call: Lord have mercy; It is not powerful for him to accept the mercy of God. Before and before he had received many graces from God, but without knowing those, below thank God who gave him. I accepted the mercy of God when man was created and came into being. He accepted the mercy of God, and when he was created through holy baptism, he became an Orthodox Christian. Accept the mercy of God, and always get rid of so many mental and physical troubles that you have tempted in your life. You will receive God’s mercy only as often as you are worthy to partake of the Most Pure Mysteries. He accepted the mercy of God, as soon as he sinned against God and made him sad with his sins, and without being destroyed, he was punished below, as befits him. He received the mercy of God, always receiving various types of benefits from God, and without realizing it, he forgot everything, and did not care about his salvation at all. Otherwise, how does such a Christian receive the mercy of God, without feeling or understanding, as if he receives such grace from God, like a rekhom, below knowing what he says, but calling exactly: Lord have mercy, except for every intention and end, is it a single custom?
