I participate in your joy that the Lord has placed your archpastor towards you and your monastery; on your very holiday the Lord sent you consolation; I read with pleasure the descriptions of M. A-i, the details of his visit and treatment of you; with such a visit to the Master, one might say, the evening will come to mourning, and the morning will be joy (Ps. 29:6); there is no need to lose heart in sad cases, just as in joyful ones one should not rise up, and it is dangerous to think: I have died in my abundance: I do not move (Ps. 29:7); everything in the world changes, only in eternity is immutability maintained. May we, by the grace of our most merciful Master, be worthy to follow the good path in this age, and to obtain inalienable salvation, not through our works, but through the priceless merits of our Lord Jesus Christ. May the Lord help you to carry out your difficult feat of your ministry, and you, without relying on yourself, seek instruction and help from Him, for without Him we cannot do anything good and in unfortunate cases resort to Him: for God is our refuge and strength, a helper in the sorrows that have come upon us greatly (Ps. 45:2), and He Himself speaks to us through His prophet: call on Me in the day of trouble. yours, and I will destroy you to glorify Me (Ps. 49:15).
