Most reverent M.I. in the Lord! Glory to God that I have deigned to fulfill your long-anticipated desire - to enter the holy monastery of virgins who have disgraced themselves to the Lord and who work for Him; those who left the world and those in the world for the sake of the heavenly kingdom. And you, by the mercy of God, have been called to this saving feat. Thank Him and ask for help in fulfilling His commandments: whoever wants to follow Me must deny himself and take up his cross and come after Me (Mark 8:38); it means denying one's will and reason, and subduing oneself into obedience; and do not be afraid of this, for the Lord said: My yoke is easy and My burden is light (Matthew 11:30) for those who will, and not for those who are forced to enter. But you may be met with longing, boredom, pity for your family; then know what is allowed from God to tempt your good will: is it really firm; the enemy tempts with various thoughts and brings despondency and boredom; and you be strong, and in times of troubles, resort to the Lord and to the Most Pure Mother of God, ask for Their help and intercession; reveal your sorrow to your mother abbess, and the Lord will help you: after sorrow he will also send you consolation.
