Because of this, the very concept of time changes, acquiring a purely linear character. What is a second, hour, day? Only a certain part of the circle delimiting the planetary ether from the solar one, above the equator of the planet; in other words, the arc of this circle, the points of which touched the supporting etheric layer. And for us it is important that the points of this arc, along which the atoms of the periphery of the planet successively pass through the end point, touch the last atom that ends the radius separating the planet from the sun. Since all the atoms of the planetary ether have passed through this critical point, we say that a day has passed. If 1/24 of the circle has passed, it will be called. an hour, 1/86,400 would be one second. And at this second (as in the text, we mean 1 minute - ed.) our pulse counts 70 or how many beats it is supposed to beat; if we walk, then our feet will take approximately the usual two steps; any machine will make as many revolutions as it is supposed to per second; As many corresponding chemical products will be released on the electrodes as should be released in a second. In a word, for all chemical, mechanical, physical, organic, or more fully, for all energy processes, this is the sequential passage of the atoms of the periphery of the planet through the critical point, at which the solar ether begins, located between the planets and the sun - this process is the main, initial, independent variable, the function of which is all energy processes on the planet. I say “independence of the variable because: - how do atoms actually pass through the periphery of the planetary ether through this critical point? – We don’t know at all. If for some reason the sun began to rotate faster, the solar ether began to rotate faster, then sooner it would begin to deposit its points and the circumference of the planet on its surface, the planet would sooner begin to rotate, but we still count its revolution as a day, 1/24th of this revolution as an hour and 1/86,400 per second. And, if the sun dragged along like a water-carrying nag, and all rotation processes would slow down accordingly, we would not notice it, although our legs in a second at this time, taking their two steps, would move with such slowness in absolute time that, for example, in the previous mentioned period of acceleration of the rotation of the sun, in these two steps we would have time to get to where we are going twenty times, have lunch, come back, live several absolute hours, days, maybe weeks, etc. As you can see, what is important for us, for life and changes on the entire planet, is only the length of the arc, the number of atoms on the periphery of the planetary ether, i.e. spatial extent. Time is a length, a line, an extension in space. This means speed, which we are accustomed to understanding as length, extension in space, division by time, by extension, in time: so many meters or miles for so many seconds, this speed becomes a simple coefficient, figure, number. This means that the expression of the path: so many kilometers multiplied by seconds begins to take on a complete resemblance to an area. Every path is always, first of all, an area, since there is always an extension in space and time, i.e., a square of extension. Any path can always be depicted in the form of an area that actually exists, and any extension can be depicted equally realistically either in space or in time. Kilometers can be converted to seconds, just as seconds can be converted to kilometers. Square kilometers can be depicted as the derivative of kilometers by seconds and vice versa."
