I.K. Sursky Father John of Kronstadt The book was first published: T. 1. Belgrade, 1938; T. 2. Belgrade, 1941. It is printed according to the text of these publications in modern spelling and punctuation, preserving the author’s linguistic features, with the ordered use of capital letters, with the addition of missing references to biblical and liturgical sources of quotations, with editorial explanations in footnotes and editorial conjecture in angle brackets. Footnotes that were in the Belgrade editions are preserved with the note Auth. Inaccuracies and errors have been corrected and, where necessary, noted in the notes. In addition to extensive historical and cultural material explaining the text of the book, the notes contain, where possible, references to the Collected Works of the Holy Righteous John of Kronstadt. Where Sursky inaccurately quoted Father John, the text was not corrected; where necessary, the missing text of Father was added in angle brackets. {Notes are inserted into the text page by page.
