True, even with your long silence, we draw our greatest consolation from reflecting on the ardor, sincerity, and genuineness of the affection that you have always shown to us. With all this, however, it would be desirable for us to also have the pleasure of constantly receiving letters from you with notifications about your health and from your own lips, from your own handwritten news, to learn what we learn through others. Fulfill our desire, at least now, my most honest lord; You understand how much pleasure this will give us. As for us, whether we write or not, we never forget you and, wherever we are, we invariably preserve the love that we have always shown to your reverence.
