Blessed are you—thrice, a thousand times blessed—by doing this and applying your zeal to such deeds, which have in store for you in heaven a great reward and an inexhaustible treasure. Nothing has inspired our soul so much as by informing us about my master, Presbyter John, with what zeal you tried to raise him and send him to Phenicia. You kept silent about the fact that you also gave him money, and this is completely in the spirit of your piety; but this did not hide from us: we know this, we also know with what generosity you gave them. We will never cease to glorify and please you for the fact that you show yourself to be rich in such things as you should be rich in, and we earnestly ask you to write to us constantly. We would give a lot if we could see you in person. But since this is still impossible, write to us constantly and notify us about the health of you and your entire home. These notifications will bring us great comfort. So, knowing how much joy they will bring us, do not deprive us of such pleasure. The paragraphs in the text were arranged by us. – Editorial staff of “ABC of Faith” You might be interested in:
