We have already written to your nobility, my most honest and reverent lord; We are still writing now, and although you have never written to us, we will write to you constantly, fulfilling our duty. We would like to do this even more often, but since we live in a large wilderness and the city that serves as our residence is under constant siege from the fear of robbers, in addition, the winter season blocks communication with us, and since, as a result of all this, few can travel to us at any time, we send due greetings to your reverence, to the best of our ability, as soon as we find an opportunity for someone to send their letter. We are confident in the sincerity of your love, the fervor of your disposition, the invariability of your way of thinking, in your nobility and impersonality. Therefore, wherever we are, we always remember you and are never able to forget your dimension. But if we are pleased to write to you, then it would be even more joyful to receive letters from you with news about your health. Give us this joy and notify us of yourself constantly. Despite the distance of our imprisonment, we will thus derive great encouragement from such correspondence for ourselves, as soon as we know that you, our devoted and ardent followers, are prosperous and in good spirits.
