Although we suffered many injustices from our enemies, at the same time we enjoyed from your side diligent help, abundant love, sincere goodwill, lively sympathy - and this constitutes considerable consolation for us amid the cruel deprivations of the exile in which we are kept, as well as various other disasters befalling us. Therefore, we earnestly ask your reverence and in the future to show us the same affection and sympathy. Your participation in these matters is not only important to us personally; its meaning extends to the entire body of churches. Not a city, not two, not three cities, but entire nations in all countries of the earth are in turmoil. You should, therefore, show zeal consistent with what is naturally expected of people who care and labor for the benefit of so many souls. True, you have already worked hard and done a lot on your part - we know this and constantly thank you for this; nevertheless, we ask you to continue to do the same. Your constancy, your patience, your perseverance can even save ardent opponents, who are incurably suffering in their stubbornness, from the madness that now rules over them. And even if, despite all your efforts, they remain incurable, in any case, for this good deed you will receive the highest reward, the most perfect reward and the most brilliant crown.
