But since our misfortunes have not yet ceased due to the insensitivity of their perpetrators, we considered it necessary to turn to your reverence with an earnest request not to weaken and not to despair, but to act with the same zeal and again use all means in your power. The more incurable in their stubbornness the people who rebel against the welfare of the church are, the more they will expose themselves to condemnation and the more brilliant the reward will be, the greater the glory will be to you for your unremitting struggle against them.
