135. К епископам Кириаку, Димитрию, Палладию и Евлизию 111

Blessed, three times, many times blessed are you for those good works, deeds, efforts, hardships and dangers that you have raised for the churches of the entire universe - you are glorious for this on earth, and glorious in heaven. If all people who have not lost their sense magnify and extol you, marveling at your inflexibility, your courage, patience, constancy, then the man-loving God, who always rewards work much higher than merit itself, will undoubtedly reward you with such benefits as it is worthy of God to reward ascetics who so courageously advocate for the peace of the entire universe. Therefore, we unceasingly please you, always remembering with pleasure and cherishing you in our hearts, despite the great distance that separates us. The most honorable Deacon Kiria 112 could not now sail to you, because he was depressed by great grief. Instead, my gentlemen, the most reverent Presbyter John and the most honorable Deacon Paul, persecuted here everywhere and having no place to stay or hide, of necessity decided to go to your love and be there with you. Receive them with love and show them the favor that is due to you. The paragraphs in the text were arranged by us. – Editorial staff of “ABC of Faith” They all lived together in Rome. See Church.
