№ 13. Составленный Преосвященным Филаретом проект определения Комиссии Духовных Училищ на прошение причта Устюжского собора об освобождении от обязанности представлять свечные доходы

K.D.U., having considered the request of the clergy of the Ustyug Cathedral for exemption from the obligation to present candle income to K.D.U., finds: 1) that by the existing resolution only cathedrals are exempt from this, to which the Ustyug Cathedral does not belong; 2) that, on the contrary, cathedrals of district towns like Ustyug represent candle income; 3) that the need to repair church buildings, no doubt, also occurs in other cathedrals and churches, but the existing resolution does not contain a rule that, for this circumstance, they are exempt from reporting candle income; 1) the request of the clergy of the Ustyug Cathedral should be left unsatisfied. 2) to announce this, it is necessary to approach His Eminence of Vologda in accordance with the established procedure, 3) and as it is clear from the petition that the Ustyug Cathedral had quite a significant capital until 1823, and now not only does not have it, but also has only about 300 rubles from its annual income, while the candle income, which previously remained in favor of the cathedral, and since 1822 required, amounted to a little more than 300 rubles per year; but such an insignificant deduction could not destroy the cathedral capital and upset its economy: then let His Grace of Vologda pay close attention to the correctness and thrift in the collection and use of the income of the Ustyug Cathedral 7 .
