It was published in Volume I of the Addendum. to Act. East. under No. 209 with the following legend: “The original is written on a piece of paper, 3⅛ long, 3¼ inches wide. Below, on a brown cord, hangs a yellow wax seal, on which, on one side, the Mother of God with the Eternal Child is depicted, sitting on a throne, and on the other, the inscription: By the grace of God, humble Archbishop Vasian of Rostov and Yaroslavl. On the back is a monogram of the clerk's name: Eleazarius. – Kept in the Imperial Public Library. The exact same charter was given to the same monastery in 1520 by Archbishop John. See Act. Now Archbishop Vasian of Rostov and Yaroslavl and Beloozersk has granted his son of Kirilovsky abbot Niphont and the brethren, or whoever else will be abbot after him: if a priest comes to them from the metropolis, or from the archdiocese of my brother of Novgorod apxbishop, or from which bishopric, and the abbot with the brethren, having looked at his letter and release and having searched him, they order that priest to serve as a priest in his monastery; but whose priest will not have a letter of dismissal, and I have not blessed that priest to serve in his bishopric, nor in their monastery; and which priests will come to them from my own bishopric, and they will look at those priests at the written document and order him to serve as a priest, with my blessing.
