Leaving his boyar rank and home, he arrived in the city of Torzhok 1045 and, having found one very beautiful place near the city, on the banks of the Tvertsa River, built a church there in the name of his sovereigns, the great princes, the holy passion-bearers Boris and Gleb, and, having gathered many monks, built a monastery, and he himself became an archimandrite 1046. Having labored valiantly in fasting and prayer, he pleased God and reposed in 1053. After his repose, at his tomb 1047 many miracles were performed and healings were given to the sick; They are given now to those who come with faith, to the glory of Christ our God, glorified with the Father and the Holy Spirit forever.
