The holy prophet Joad came from Samaria. After he denounced Jeroboam 2282 for decreeing bulls in the kingdom of Israel, to which he himself had sacrificed, he was torn to pieces by a lion, which is why he died. It happened like this. The Lord commanded Joad to go to Jeroboam and reprove him, not to eat bread or drink wine there, and to immediately return back. The Prophet found Jeroboam sacrificing to idols and, turning to him, said: “Thus says the Lord: Behold, a son will be born in the house of Judah, his name will be Josiah, and he will kill the priests of these high places on the altar.” Jeroboam stretched out his hand to grab the prophet, but his hand became dry. Then the king begged the prophet to make his hand healthy, as before. After this, returning back, Joad was seduced by a false prophet named Hamweh, and ate with him. For such disobedience, the Lord allowed the lion to kill him, but not to eat his body. The murdered Joad was buried near the dwelling of the prophet who seduced him 2284. Jeroboam was the first king of Israel after the division of the kingdom of Hebrews. He introduced idolatry into his kingdom and forced his subjects to it.
