During interrogation, they declared themselves Christians and called the ruler himself cruel and inhuman. Therefore, by order of the latter, they were first stripped and beaten with sticks, then their breasts were cut off, after which, after hanging them, they whittled their bodies until their entrails were exposed, and finally they threw them into a red-hot furnace, where they gave up their souls into the hands of the Lord 2064. Here, of course, Maximian Galerius, after the abdication of Diocletian, independently ruled the eastern part of the empire from 305 to 311.
