Against those who claim that the human race had to multiply through carnal copulation and birth, even if the forefathers had not sinned

I have heard that some argue that if our forefathers had kept the commandment given to them at first by the Creator of everything and the Lord, then the reproduction of the human race would still have been carried out in the same bestial way as now, only without lust, without passion and without female diseases. They say this without any confirmation from the divine scriptures, but guided only by human thoughts and following great external learning. Therefore, I considered it fair to somewhat reason and talk with them, not in the sense of positive evidence and establishments, but presumably and simply offering the reasoning of common reason against their opinion. Tell us, dear ones, what do you think: were our ancestors initially created incorruptible and immortal, or subject to corruption and death? If they assert the second, then they will clearly be convicted of lies by that divine voice that said to the primeval ones: If you take one day from it, that is, from the forbidden tree, you will die (Gen. 2:17). Having said this, the Creator clearly taught us that He created them immortal and that they would have remained immortal forever if they had kept His holy commandment, as evidenced by that divine voice that says: I said: You are gods, and you are all sons of the Most High, that is, you are above all mortals, and then adds: you, like men, die and so on (Ps. 82:6-7). And again: this man is in honor, that is, in incorruptibility and being equal to the angels, without reason, being likened to senseless cattle, and becoming like them (Ps. 48:21), that is, he fell into corruption and death and submitted to wordless passions, not realizing his honor, that is, the dignity of incorruptibility and immortality. Likewise, Solomon the Wise said: God did not create death, but through envy the devil brought death into the world (Wis. 1:13, 2:24). If, having been defeated by the Holy Scriptures, they confess, even against their will, that the primordial creatures were created incorruptible and immortal and that they would have remained forever incorruptible if they had not transgressed the commandments of God, then how do they claim that the reproduction of our race would have to be in the same bestial way as it is done now, only without lust, passions and female diseases? It is known that reproductive uds were given to both sexes at creation for two reasons: so that through them the human race would be preserved and would not completely disappear, and so that through them the excess of digestible food would always be thrown out. The Creator, who knows everything before being, knew, of course, that the primordial things would fall away from God, and also knew the reason for this falling away, namely, that they would desire to be equal to God. For this reason, the all-wise Creator gave them such bestial spirits and put in them a strong fervor of bestial lust, so that they would copulate with each other against their will and give birth to children. Otherwise, we would not want to copulate with each other, meaning, each sex, the many unbearable sufferings of childbirth and upbringing of those born - the female gender, meaning the nine-month painful carrying in the womb and those dirty tricks and sorrows that subsequently, after birth, have to endure, and the urgent care of the baby until it reaches a certain age; the father also, bearing in mind the many concerns about the upbringing of his children, how best to raise them and teach them piety, and then marry his sons and give his daughters in marriage. This proves that the all-wise Creator had in mind the multiplication of our race in some other, higher and beyond the human mind way, befitting a being created in the image and likeness of God, if man had kept the commandment of God and would not have forced the One who is not subject to any coercion to adopt into his image such a shameful and bestial ugliness and nasty confusion. It is wrong, therefore, to understand and assert that man, created in the image and likeness of God, that is, immortal, passionless and incorruptible, even if he had inviolably kept the commandment of the One who created him, had to multiply through such nasty and bestial copulation. For with bestial copulation there must necessarily be a bad discharge, without which conception cannot take place. If there is an outflow, then there is both corruption and hidden passion; Consequently, what is conceived and born and raised is no longer immortal, but perishable and mortal and of short duration. For everything that has its beginning from corruption is of necessity subject to corruption and death. Consequently, the human race had to multiply in another way, most wonderful and incomprehensible to our minds, and not through bestial copulation, as some think, reasoning unworthy of the divine image. Let us not talk about what exceeds our mind and our understanding, for our mind is earthly and weak and sins in many ways, as the word of God testifies, which says: The Lord knows the thoughts of men, for they are vanity (Ps. 93:11). And another Scripture says: For the thoughts of mortals are fearful, and their plans are sinful (Wis.9:14); The works of God are incomprehensible to every created nature. Who understands the mind of the Lord, or who is His adviser? (Rom. 11:34). Moreover, let us remember the countless hosts of ethereal forces, how they soon and in the blink of an eye appeared by His omnipotent wave? Could not the One All-Powerful One, with His same omnipotent wave, multiply the human race, just as He multiplied the mental armies of countless ethereal forces, if the ancestors had kept the commandment of God given to them? Truly he could, in any case. For what is impossible for His creative power, with which He suddenly decorated the sky with countless millions of stars and immediately brought from non-existence into existence many four-legged earthly creatures, sea fish and birds of the air, and decorated the entire earth with countless flowers and various gardens and forests? So, as much as grace was given to say about this, so much was said. If anyone is not convinced by this and continues to argue, we are not imams of this custom, lower than the church of God (1 Cor. 11:16), says the holy preacher of God. Whoever, with an omnipotent and omnipotent wave, soon created, preserves and controls everything, to Him be all glory, honor and worship forever. Amen.
