1. Intercession of the Mother of God. The special participation of the Mother of God in the salvation of the world The same applies to petitions. There is one intercession, and without it no other intercession is strong... The intercession of the Lord Savior. And there can be many side intercessors, conductors of that intercession... multipliers... Here is the Mother of God Intercessor, acting by virtue of the intercession of Her Son... Moreover, the Lord the Savior is the Intercessor to God the Father. And if the Savior Himself was angered, who will intercede with Him? But we anger him, because through our sins we trample His blood. This is where the Mother of God is... and we say to Her: and using Thy Motherly boldness, pray... Regarding the Mother of God, please confirm this thought... The arrangement of salvation through the incarnation is the work of the One God. The creatures had no place here. But the Mother of God was given a part in this too, for from Her human nature was taken by the God-Man. This participation is essential, internal. Therefore, She is the Supreme of all... and Her power before the Lord is exceptional, special. Her Sonship of the God-Man and Her Motherhood to Him remain to this day... And the power of this relationship remains... What will such a Son not do for such a Mother? And what would such a Mother not ask from such a Son? Therefore, it is reasonable for us to say: all hope is in You... be the Intercessor (6, pp. 3–5)! 2. How is the Mother of God an Intercessor when there is only one Intercessor, Christ the Lord? Christ the Lord is the original Intercessor - as the reconciler of humanity with the Divine. By His death He reconciled us with God and through this opened access to us to all the mercies of God. He is the finisher of the incarnate economy of salvation. The Mother of God is the Intercessor of salvation as a prayer book. Both Angels and saints are intercessors in this regard, for they pray for us. But neither the Mother of God, nor the Angels, nor the saints are the producers and givers of salvation. They only intercede so that the image of salvation, given by the Lord the Savior for everyone, would be applied to us and that we would thus be saved by virtue of it...
