Interest in the personality of the youngest of the great Cappadocians, Gregory of Nyssa, is growing both here and abroad. However, the Russian-speaking reader receives information about Western European theological literature through a much wider channel, and only a thin stream of information about Central European theological works, which in their fundamentality are in no way inferior to the first. In this regard, even eleven (!) years after the book of the famous Czech theologian and patrolologist Professor Lenka Karfikova Gregory of Nyssa. God's and human infinity was published in the Prague academic publishing house "Oikumena", the story about this work has not lost its relevance. A comprehensive and meaningful work, in which Karfikova analyzes what the infinity of God means for the saint and how human infinity relates to the infinity of the Creator, is based both directly on an examination of the formation of Gregory’s views in the chronological sequence of a number of his writings, and on the works of our contemporaries, such as W. Balthasar, J. Danielou, E. Muhlenberg, J. E. Hennessy and many others. Man is here consistently shown as a being of time and as a being constantly moving towards the future. But does this mean that eschatological horizons are given to faith as signs, remaining limitless for the mind?
