Jer. 47:4. And I will destroy Tyre. And after what’s happened, you don’t save? This was announced to confirm the devastation and destruction of the idols. Jer. 47:4. For the Lord will destroy the Philistines, the remains of the islands of Cappadocia. This is what he calls the islands of the neighboring sea, because those exposed to wars settled there from the islands; Having destroyed those who lived there before, they remained in this place. He speaks of Cappadocia, since (those who came from it) won a victory and decided to settle there. This is what he says through another prophet: He brought foreigners out of Cappadocia. Jer. 47:5. When baldness came to Gaza, Ascalon and “the rest of those in Akim” were rejected (τῶν ἐν A κήμ) 238. Jer. 47:7. How will he rest? The prophet predicts the destruction of Idumea; he calls her Feman; this is the country of Esau. Instead, in ancient sp. translation of the 70 and in agreement with them in Slav. B.: οί κατάλοιποι Ἐνακείμ remains of Yenakimli.
