We must know and confess that every good gift and the patience of suffering for Christ are given from God. A person cannot take upon himself anything unless it is given to him from heaven (John 3:27) (4). One should not think that the gift of God is acquired with money or any other idea... Everyone, according to the measure of faith, is given from God gifts for benefit (4). He who gratefully accepted God's first gift and carefully cultivated it for the glory of God will be honored with other gifts. And whoever is not like this is deprived of his former gift, is not rewarded with the gift prepared for him, and is given over to punishment (4). Since the gifts of the Spirit are different, and just as one cannot accept all the gifts, so everyone does not accept the same gift, then everyone must remain chastely and with gratitude in the gift given to him, and everyone must agree with each other in the love of Christ, like members in the body. Therefore, the inferior in talent, in comparison with the superior, should not despair, and the superior should not despise the lesser.
