Dear Evdokia Ivanovna in the Lord!
I wish you God's mercy and spiritual salvation.
For your congratulations on the Nativity of Christ, God bless you. May the Lord keep you in good health for the coming year.
You ask what to do with the brooch. “The Lord doesn’t need a brooch or money, but the diligence with which this or that is offered.”
If you hang a brooch on St. icon, and it will be removed tomorrow, then you will not lose at all from this, for the Lord and the Queen of Heaven will accept your zeal. Therefore, choose what is more convenient for you. You can sell it and give away the money - and that’s good. May the Lord help you fulfill this intention.
Calling upon you peace and God’s blessing, I remain with the desire for salvation.
