714. Служи больной, как бы Самому Господу

I received your letter and prayed for you. So that Mother does not begin to transfer you from this sick woman, then you serve her, as if the Lord Himself, who said: “I am sick and you visit Me... Amen I say to you, since you have created one and only these least of these brothers of mine, you have created Me” (Matthew ch. 25, v. 36 and 45). When with such zeal and love you serve the sick woman, not just because of a bribe, but because of God’s promise, then the Lord will honor you with the same reward as the sick woman, the sick woman herself will love you and will not want anyone else but you, and Mother will be inclined in her heart to leave you here, just don’t forget “the only thing she needs.” Invoking the peace and blessing of God, I remain with sincere goodwill.
