685. О перемене священника в обители. Лживых и лукавых нельзя терпеть во св. обители

Your Reverence, most honorable in the Lord Mother Abbess Leonida! I received your long letter dated December 5th and, due to lack of time, I answer briefly. I also received it on November 6th. It’s already been written to you about management, so you don’t get embarrassed. Regarding your priest, if he is completely dismissed from his post, then you can ask the metropolitan to give you a more reliable one, and you can even indicate if you have something in mind. And if he has to change, so be it. After all, you say that there are good rumors about the priest with whom yours wants to change. So, you can rest assured about this. Our future is in the hands of God, and it is impossible to live a century without temptations. It’s not this, it’s different; not another, but a third. That is why the Lord warns: “Be prepared.” However, if we always prayerfully resort to the Lord, trusting in His mercy, then we will always receive timely help from Him. As for the novice in whom you notice lies and deceit, you can offer her to move to some other monastery. So you can say that deceitful and crafty people cannot be tolerated in St. monastery. By the way, I have the honor to congratulate you on the approaching great and all-joyful holiday of the Nativity in the flesh of our Lord Jesus Christ, and then on the New Year, and I wish you and all your sisters in Christ to meet and spend these holidays in peace, spiritual joy, and physical health. Asking for you and the sisters of your monastery the peace and blessing of God, I remain with sincere goodwill. You might be interested in:
