610. В земной жизни все временно и сменяется одно другим, как в воздухе стихии. Для спасения нужны и скорби

M. St. O. n. G.I.H.B.n. p.n. God's mercy be with you! Rejoice in the Lord, beloved bride of Christ, M. Julia! I received your letter, I am very happy about your peaceful dispensation. So, my joy, give thanks to the Lord, who has done good to us. Know and remember well that everything here is temporary and is replaced by one another, like in the elemental air. Pleasant May weather is followed by rain, storms, and so on. And then again it is clear, light and joyful in the soul. Now you are in good spirits, thank God. But nothing is permanent here. A hater of all good, especially the world, he will certainly arrange a comma for you, to the extent that this will be allowed by God for your own benefit, just remember this: do not lose heart, but cast your care on the will of God. Just as every plant needs sun, rain, and storm, so salvation also requires sorrow, and without sorrow, salvation is doubtful. The Lord said: “You will be in sorrow in the world, but this sorrow will happen with joy, and then no one will take it from you.” The main thing depends on you. If M. Evdokia does not embarrass you, then, of course, M. Abbess will not take M. Justinia away from you. God bless you to go to your aunt. There you can explain well about M. Evdokia. I think she will not contradict your wishes. There should be no need to grieve over someone’s health, the Lord knows better than us who benefits from what: health or illness, our duty is to pray. The Lord said: “Pray for one another, that you may be healed.” Peace to you and God's blessing. You might be interested in:
