590. Не унывай, но на милосердие Божие твердо надейся. Если привычки греховные не оставляются, то надо смиряться и укорять себя

If sinful habits are not abandoned, then one must humble oneself, reproach oneself, and consider oneself worse than everyone else. In your sorrows, may the Lord comfort you and help you endure everything with patience. If you’ve lost someone else’s, then obviously you have to pay. If it’s easier for you to confess to your old confessor, then you can confess to him too, if he doesn’t refuse. May the Lord make you wise for salvation.
