Those who sow here with tears will reap joy there. Yes, we need to cry, either here for a short time, or there for an eternity. Choose any. If you choose the first, then you will always try to see nothing but your sins, which are like the sand of the sea. Bear each other's burdens, and thus fulfill the law of Christ. Pray for each other so that we may escape from the snare of the devil. We all have weaknesses, and each has her own weakness: hers is one, and yours is different. Where there is great rottenness, there the grace of Christ abounds, because the Lord suffered equally for everyone and wants salvation for everyone. He wants our salvation so much, we do not know how to desire it for ourselves, as He does for us. Of course, any disorder is indignant, but look carefully: again, again you will find that this indignation comes mostly from our impatience, forgetfulness of our sinfulness and lack of faith in God’s help, that a person sins all his life and can repent in a single hour. This is our misfortune, that we see only the sin of our neighbor, but do not see his repentance. This is our spiritual blindness. We must pray more often and more earnestly: “Lord, let me see my sins and not condemn my sister.” Tell yourself: “She sinned, she will repent. Maybe I, poor thing, always sin. And I don’t stop doing evil. And my cold repentance, I don’t know whether the Lord will accept it. Lord, before I even die completely, save me.” God help you.
