583. Покой там, идеже Свет Невечерний. Терпение – драгоценный дар, ибо без терпения нет и спасения

M. St. O. n. G.I.H.B.n. p.n. Grieving mother Agrippina! I read your letter with a feeling of regret for you, that your life is restless. But at the same time, if you look deeper into our earthly life, then everyone will be convinced that there is all sorts of “tightness,” tightness, sadness, various sorrows, and so on. And there is peace there, where the Non-Evening Light is. After all, you are a Christian, and by the grace of God, a nun, and not only, but also a betrothed to the Heavenly Bridegroom Jesus Christ. And you to His St. words of little faith, which He speaks to you and to everyone like you: “Call upon Me in the day of your tribulation, and I will help you, and you will glorify Me,” and again: “In your patience you will gain your souls.” You see, my joy, what a precious gift this stone is - patience in sorrowful seas, rivers and small swamps. But if there were no such things, that is, no sorrows, then you would not find patience anywhere, and without patience there is no salvation. Then one place is hell, from which may the Lord deliver you, and me, and all those who humbly endure. I know well that you care about your salvation, and this consoles me. And without fulfilling Christ’s commandments there is no salvation, and these are His commandments: to love God, to love one’s neighbor. And pray for each other, that you may be healed. Be it, be it for you by the grace of God. You might be interested in:
