Your Reverence, most honorable Mother Abbess Lyudmila in the Lord!
I received your letter dated February 8th and thank you for congratulating me, a sinner, on the upcoming Holy Day. Pentecostal. Mutually, I have the honor to congratulate you on the same and wish you and all your sisters in Christ to spend the Holy Great Lent with spiritual benefit: fasting physically, fasting also spiritually, so that in peace and unanimity you achieve your salvation.
Have you visited Fr. John of Kronstadt and were consoled by his promise to visit you in the monastery. - And glory to the Lord! And you should thank Him for this mercy of Him towards you. Even if not now, there is still hope that Fr. John will visit you in due course.
At your request, I am sending you three copies of the teachings of the Reverend Abba Dorotheos and two copies of St. John Climacus.
Asking for you and your monastery peace and God's blessing, I remain with sincere goodwill.
For permission with oil, God will forgive and I forgive, but you repent before communion.
