32. Нельзя посылать гостинцы, купленные на монастырские деньги. Об обращении католиков

Your Reverence, most honorable in the Lord Mother Abbess Lyudmila! I received your letter dated September 28, in which you write that you agreed to the request of your nephew and his wife to be the successor of their daughter. Well! And they did well to agree. You would like to send your goddaughter, once or twice, some gift every year. To this I will tell you: if these gifts will be made with your own money, then you can send them; If this requires monastery money, then this cannot be approved. What kind of people should be accepted or not accepted into the monastery? – Look at this for yourself and take a closer look. May the All-merciful Lord give you reason about this. Books – 10 copies of the biography of Father Fr. Ambrose and 1 copy of the biography of the Troyekurovsky recluse Fr. I am sending Hilarion, also a ruble with postage. Asking for you and the sisters of your monastery for peace and God's blessing, I remain with sincere goodwill. That your mushrooms didn’t grow this year and what is the price, and then is smelt far from you and also what is the price, and is there a railway to you? P.S. In your letter you expressed the hope that perhaps your nephew’s wife, a Catholic, will turn to Orthodoxy. - God forbid! Only a dubious hope, because the priests have a tight grip on Catholic women and Catholic women themselves can be very fanatical. You must pray more diligently so that the Lord Himself, through His destinies, will convert this person related to you to Orthodoxy. You might be interested in:
