What is more shameful than arrogance and arrogance? It is then that you humiliate yourself, man, then you are covered with shame and dishonor, when you wait for your neighbor to speak to you first. What's worse than this arrogance? What is funnier than this arrogance and vanity? If you speak first, then God, most importantly, will approve of you, and people will praise you, and you will receive the full reward for this greeting [to the enemy]. But if you wait for him to honor you first, and then you will honor him, then you will not do anything special, because whoever warned you to honor you will anticipate the entire reward for the reconciliation that has taken place between you. So, let us not wait for others to honor us first; on the contrary, we will hasten to do honor to our neighbors and will always be the first to greet them; Let us not think that it is an empty and base thing to be affectionate and friendly. Neglect of this matter dissolved many friendly ties and gave rise to much enmity, while its careful execution more than once stopped long-lasting quarrels and strengthened existing friendly ties. Do not neglect, beloved, to take care of this; but if we happen to meet anyone, we will be the first to greet them with greetings and everything else.
