Great is the work of asceticism that I perform in prayers, not for “you” alone, but also for “the Laodiceans.” Col.2:1. and for all of them I have not seen even my face in the flesh. Col. 2:20 . So if you... died... with Christ... to the creatures of this world, that is, for the earthly promises of the law, then why else would they live here in the world? Col.2:21. Don't touch do not touch (Lev.5:2), that is, do not touch, it is said, a leper, do not touch one suffering from the expiration of semen (Lev.15:3), After all, all this is a matter of corruption, since it has become dilapidated, decomposed and decayed. Col.2:23. And they do not spare the bodies, for they circumcise and wear out the body, - with some neglect to satisfy the flesh, that is, they remain in carnal feelings while they are under the law, which in their eyes considers marriage unclean.
