So, do not be proud of your afflictions, and let him who has endured persecution more than his fellow man, let him not boast above his neighbor, but let each one meekly and graciously consider his neighbor higher than himself. Let everyone, secretly or openly, do the work not only of his own, but also of his neighbor (Phil. 2:1-4). In this be imitators of Him, Phil.2:5–6. The same thing and you rejoice, when you are suffering, when this happens to me. So I am sending Timothy to you to bring me news of all your deeds, that is, what you have endured and what patience you had in persecution, so that I may have good news from you for peace of mind (Phil. 2:19). Phil.2:20. For... I have no one... so... [equally] zealous, who would care about you with such sincerity. Phil.2:21. For everyone... is looking for their own... and not... Jesus is the Christ, that is, those who care only about their own benefit instead of dying for the people entrusted to their care. Phil.2:22. He is like his father's son, that is, as a son cares and cares about the life of his father, - this is how he worked with me in that gospel: because in all the places where believers in Christ were persecuted, the persecution did not leave me, so I myself immediately set out to strengthen them and sent him to all the cities to encourage those oppressed by the persecution, since there was persecution in all the cities. Phil.2:23. So.. him... I will send to you, when I am able to make sure about myself, that is, as soon as I see what will happen to me. Phil.2:24. But I am confident in the Lord that I myself... will come to you. And since neither I nor my worthy companion Timothy had the opportunity (to come to you), then I had to Phil.2:25. send to you Epaphroditus, brother and collaborator... my - and yours... He is an Apostle and a servant of this necessity, for for these circumstances I sent him to you. Phil.2:30. since he gave up his soul even to death for the cause of the Lord. But what is the work of Christ?
