Isa.7:1. Up came Rasin, king of Araml, and Phekei, son of Romeli, king of Israel. Racine (Rezin) and the son of Romeli (Remaliin) went to fight Ahaz, but “were not able to” because they were afraid of the invasion of the king of Assyria. Isa.7:2. And it was announced in the house of David, saying: Aram conferred with Ephraim... Isa.7:3. And the Lord said to Isaiah: Go out to meet Ahaz, you and your remaining son Jasub (Sariasub) ... Isa.7:4. and say to him... do not be afraid, let not your soul faint from the two ends of these smoking heads. When the house of David, the kingdom of Judah and the king began to tremble, because the Syrians and Ephraimites had entered into an alliance with each other to go to Jerusalem, and the house of Judah was shaken like a tree shaken by the wind, then the Lord said to the prophet Isaiah: “Go out, ... you and ... Jasub (Shear-yasuv or Sariasub) your remaining son.” And what was said by Isaiah, similar to this, was not said by any of the prophets. The prophet calls the kings of Syria and Samaria “Kontz ami glavni,” because they intended to enter into battle with the Head of all; and he calls them “smoking brands” because they set out to fight with Him Who is the consuming fire. Isa.7:8. Like the head of Aram Damascus the capital of the Syrian cities is Damascus. Isa.7:9. The head of the cities of Ephraim Somoron Isa.7:8. but yet sixty and five years, the kingdom of Ephraim shall be poor from men, that is, the Ephraimites will be captured by the Assyrians. Isa.7:10. And he spoke to Ahaz: . Isa.7:11. ask yourself a sign from the Lord. Ask, says the prophet, for a sign, whatever you want and where you want. Isa.7:13. Food is not enough for you, it is labor to give as a person, and how much do you give... labor God, my mu? Is it not enough for you to burden the prophets, that you burden the Lord of the prophets? so as not to burden you any more than the God who speaks in me Behold, the virgin will conceive and give birth to a Son, and His name will be called Immanuel. There is a contradiction here in name and in nature. If Virgo, how does she conceive? If she conceives, then why Virgo? And whoever hears this can believe it? The Lord Himself will give you a sign. Since the Lord will give a sign, do not test how it will be, because there is nothing that would be difficult for God to do. The name Immanuel means: “God is with us.” Isa.7:15. Discard the butter and honey. This signifies those glorious and ineffable gifts that the incarnate Word of God will communicate to human nature, or the law of God, about which Christ said that it is free of Him (John 4:34), or those Divine gifts that are promised to holy souls in what was said: “Go and eat [and drink] wine and fat without money and without price” (Is. 55:1). Job says about these gifts that they will not be given to the wicked, and that he will not be delighted with the communion from the streams and springs of “honey and oil of herbs” (Job 20:17). Isa.7:16. Before He understands, put away the evil and choose what is good... the earth will be left that is, before the born child comes to the state to distinguish between good and bad, “the earth will be left”, about which you now care. And indeed, the land was abandoned by the two kings mentioned. But the prophet also means here that the land and people of Judah will be abandoned before the Son of Mary comes to the age at which a child distinguishes good from evil. If the Jews do not believe the Gospel, let them read in the Roman memorial records and find that in the very year in which our Lord was born, their land was abandoned by God, the Jews became subject to the Romans, and a census was taken of them for the poll tax. Isa.7:18. And... the Lord will call upon the flies that... by the rivers of Egypt, and the bees that exist in the land of the Assyrians. Isa.7:19. And they will all come and rest in the wilds of Vamoth. The prophet calls the Egyptians flies, and the Assyrians bees, for they came with Tiglath-pileser to the land of Israel and devastated it. Isa.7:20. On that day the Lord will shave with a drunken razor, - that is, the Assyrians, whom righteous anger sharpened like a razor - will shave... about the land of the river ... Jordan, that is, the tribes of Reuben and Gad and half the tribe of Manasseh. Isa.7:21. On that day a man will feed one oxen and two sheep: Isa.7:22. and... from the abundance of creation milky oil and honey will be carried away.
