Thank you very much for the rescript. At the same time, a draft rescript is presented, which Your Highness was pleased to instruct me to draw up, along with the papers sent to me. Vasily Vasilyevich in the inscription speaks of a rescript in the name of the merchants, but it seemed to me more decent to inscribe it in the name of a permanent institution - the exchange committee. (This is completely fair.) In this case, I cannot help but draw Your Highness’s attention to a wonderful article about Minin and Pozharsky by the famous and talented writer Zabelin, published in the “Russian Archive” in 1872. This publication is of course in your library. I am sure that you will read it with great interest; it is beautifully and not at all dryly written. (I will definitely find and read this article.)
