(Said on October 14th; published in Mosk. Vedom.) Most pious Sovereign! Now the heart of Russia is at peace: because You are in the depths and in the heart of Russia. The Orthodox people are in awe, seeing that Your royal journey has become at the same time a prayer journey to the most ancient public shrine. With a faithful thought and a devoted heart, we carefully followed You and Your Most Pious Spouse beyond the borders of the Fatherland. Now we take comfort in thinking that Her longed-for health has been renewed and strengthened, that Your friendly meetings with Your sovereign allies will be a new affirmation of peace; that the world will provide convenience for Your royal exploits, in order to elevate and improve the internal life of Russia, in order to protect the good inherited from our ancestors and supplement it with new fruits of experienced and mature wisdom. The Orthodox Church prays to God for this day and night, honoring in Your sacred face the quality of its protector and patron, as one of the highest advantages of the Anointed of God.
