Your ancient throne city, which by special fate was granted with the joy of presentiment to receive You as you entered into life, to offer the first thanks to the Giver of Life, who gave You to Russia, the first prayer for Your success, is it necessary to explain with what feelings it sees You, as the fulfillment of its prayers, presentiments, hopes, as the beginning of new highest hopes of the Fatherland? He deeply feels this royal mercy that You, having accepted the immense burden of an immense kingdom, and at the same time an unusual legacy - the necessary continuation of the righteous war, among the aggravated Royal exploits, nevertheless found the time to remember Your cradle - Moscow, and grant it Your vision. But that's not all. With reverence we comprehend the highest thought of Your present coming. You hasten to the sanctuary of Your hereditary Royal consecration, to offer Your Royal prayer, to “the King who gives salvation” (Ps. 143:10), with the intercession of His Saints, and especially of Saint Peter, who blessed the birth of this capital, and Saint Alexis, who blessed Your birth, and who received You into his arms from the sacred font. “May the Lord send you a rod of strength from Zion” (Ps. 109:2), and may your firmness overcome your efforts, your insight – the tricks of Russia’s enemies. Russia will understand Your current prayer, and millions of hearts will merge into one all-church, all-Russian prayer “for Your power, victory, peace, health and salvation.” We bring to the Lord another desire to see You soon with the sign of the sacred Anointing in Your Parental and Grandparental crown, among the blessings of Heaven and Russia.
