With reverence your ancient throne city heard how you, giving honor to the exploits of the past generation, at the same time taught the exploits of the present and future generation - how you sanctified glory with piety - how you delighted the alien life of the military camp for the warriors - by your example. Finally, Your ancient throne city sees You, and with joyful glances it now especially seeks to see in Your eyes the reflection of joy that recently illuminated Your Blessed House. Your Firstborn returned to Your arms, captivating the hearts of foreign nations with the virtues that He inherited from You by birth, and which You formed in Him by upbringing. The love for the Fatherland of Your first Daughter, under Your Parental care, forever strengthened Her for Russia, making Her Spouse the Son of Russia.
